It's been almost 6 years...
It had crossed my mind to perhaps end the TLB show on show 150 sometime this or next year, for various reasons. But with all of the things going on that could severely effect our lives, I want to go for as long as we can. I like being a window into an average gay couple's life. I know over the years we have let people "see" a side they may not normally see when they think of a gay couple or gay people. I hope if nothing else, people see how normal we are, how like everyone else we are. We have made friends through the show that you would never imagine could be. I honestly think we get to share and open the eyes and minds of people who may not have been all too comfortable with gay people, and even though that may not be the case for more than a fraction of our listeners, I still think its important. Not to mention how much I love interacting with all of you, and I honestly do. I appreciate each and every one of you, listeners past and present. We still have lots of stories to tell and the future could take us anywhere, so if for nothing else, I hope we can get back to sharing that hour or so of our lives with everyone every week or two, because that is how we can get our voice out there. Our story, like all of your stories, is a piece to a puzzle bigger and older than all of us, and every piece is important. So lets all grab our piece and stick it in. =)
I imagine that lack of shows leads to loss of listeners, I was frankly a little surprised we didn't get more inquiries to what was going on but we did get some. Its ok, well be back and people will listen or they wont... =)
I can't believe that there haven't been any comments. I keep waiting for a new show and finally decided to see if there was a crisis that was keeping you from podcasting and came to the Web site. Looks like from your comment that you are just busy. Just know that there are those us out there waiting to hear about the normal life of a couple of gay guys.
